Relandersgrund is a historic lighthouse ship moored at the end of Aleksanterinkatu that has become somewhat of a landmark in Helsinki. The ship was originally built in 1888 and is now the oldest still functional lighthouse ship in Finland. The ship was rescued from a wrecker’s yard in 1991 and began a new life as a restaurant ship in 1995. The terrace on the deck of the red ship is a great place in summertime to enjoy the sun and a refreshing drink. Photo: Jussi Hellsten
