One of Kuoppa's main passions is to develop new tricks, which has taken him far - even landing him on the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records twice. Kuoppa also has his own BMX frame line and he also produces the Master of Creativity video competition. Riding since 1990, the gentleman now shares his favourite spots in Helsinki and Espoo.instagram.com/masterofcreativity
Swimming in the summer and walking in the winter. About a 30-minute drive from downtown Helsinki. Amazing place.
JÄTEMÄKI HILL A.K.A. MALMINKARTANONHUIPPU
The Malminkartanonhuippu hill used to be called Jätemäki (Waste Hill), and that's what I still call it. I used to be such a "performance athlete" when I was young, and was running up and down the steps with the taste of blood in my mouth. Nowadays I still pass by Jätemäki from time to time, run up and down the steps a couple of times and enjoy the great scenery.
MALMINKARTANO TRAIN STATION
Helsinki's finest train stop.
CABLE FACTORY BASKETBALL COURT
I train BMX here in the summer because it is mostly empty. It is also a nice sheltered spot from the wind, almost attached to the wall of the Cable Factory.
If I feel like fast food, I head over to Soi Soi, with the city's best veggie burgers.
BRAHE SPORTS FIELD
In the winter I go ice-skating at Brahe and in the summer I use the basketball court for training BMX. 'Bragu' is great for skating and checking out the passing trams :)
