The traditional Independence Day matinee of the Peace Union of Finland and the Finnish Committee of 100 on 6 December at 13:00–15:30 will feature a number of social leaders from science, art and other fields of society speaking about their relationship with Mother Earth, the fatherland and peace. The event will also offer music and dance performances for all ages.

The performers include names such as Pekka Haavisto, Paula Risikko, Bilal Hussein, CMI (TBD), Kjell Westo, Martti Koskenniemi, Li Andersson, Paleface, Timo Tuominen, Tamara Rasmussen the school’s dance group, Janne Mertanen, Ada Katz, Harri Saksala, Tuomo Uusitalo Trio (TBC), Youth choir All 4 Voices ja Arja Saijonmaa.
The event will be hosted by Katariina Kaitue.

The event is a good way to start the Independence Day celebrations.
