This concert ”Nordic echos – Pohjoisia kaikuja” is a collaboration between the The Finnish Soloists’ Association and the FÍT-klassísk deild FÍH; the Icelandic Association of chamber musicians and soloists.

The performers Rúnar Óskarsson, clarinet and Helga Bryndís Magnúsdóttir, piano describe the concert as following:

“We will play a versatile and interesting program by leading composers from the Nordic countries. The repertoire goes from dark Icelandic folk songs to joyful fantasies and sparkling melodies. It shows the diversity of Nordic composers, but we still hear a common tone or sound - something we like to call Nordic!”

Program:

Áskell Másson (Iceland) - Sonatina

Esa-Pekka Salonen (Finland) – Nachtlieder

Anders Hillborg (Sweden) - Tampere Raw

Olav Berg (Norway) - Fantasia Breve
