Restart a Heart Day 2021

Itäkatu 1-7, 00930 Helsinki
Itis Shopping Centre

When a heart stops, it is important to help.

When a heart stops, it is important to help.

Even three out of four collapsed patients will recover, if resucitation and automated external defibrillation (AED) has been started within 3-5 minutes after the collapse. The first helper is usually a bypasser, so it is important to learn basic life support and AED beforehand. Anyone can use a defibrillator, because it gives advice and it is impossible to harm with it. Successful cardiopulmonary resucitation will maintain the circulation partially, but AED is needed to fix possible arrythmias.

In the event , you can practice resucitation, learn how to use a defibrillator, get to know 112 application and hear from paramedics how patient care continues after an emergency call. You can also take a peek inside a rescue vehicle.
