Ismo Alanko is an uncompromising, reformative songwriter and an observer of humanity, whose 40 years of life as an artist and 60th birthday is being celebrated in November.
Fourty years of songs: Voice as colour and vibration -co-exhibition is a tribute to Alanko’s versatile and unique career. In the centre of the exhibition are voice, song and energy that vibrate outwards into the world and time. The words scintillate new words, shapes, colours and expressions, calling one into dance.
The exhibition will feature artworks from eight artists whom each have in their own way been inspired or impressed by Alanko’s persona and works. Along are Onni Alanko, Aimo Katajamäki, Saija Kivikangas, Niina Mantsinen, Jarkko Martikainen, Toni Salminen, Johanna Sipilä and Petteri Tikkanen, representing e.g. contemporaries, new generation and colleagues.
