Apocalyptica Plays Metallica Vol. 2 Tour 2024

While Metallica is performing at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium on June 7th and 9th,  they are also organizing program for their fans for the whole weekend! 

In Finland, the Metallica Takeover weekend is crowned by the opening gig of Apocalyptica's Plays Metallica Vol. 2 album tour at Helsinki Ice Hall.

The most famous hits of Apocalyptica are e.g. I Don't Care, I'm Not Jesus, SOS (Anything But Love) and Bittersweet. At the beginning of the 90s, graduates of the Sibelius Academy made themselves popular in both metal and classical music genres by covering Metallica, Pantera, Sepultura, Slayer and Faith No More on the cello.

After that, the band has been performing also their own material and nowadays they have sold millions of records worldwide.

Besides Apocalyptica, the Take Over Weekend's program includes Metallica Film Fest, photographer Ross Halfin's autograph event and a free Fan Zone meeting place at the Helsinki Ice Hall.
