Atmospheric Christmas music in the German Church
The warm-hearted German church next to Tähtitorninmäki is filled with familiar Christmas melodies from different countries in a traditional Christmas concert. In this beautiful, more than 150-year-old neo-Gothic church, you can hear choral and solo singing, as well as chamber and wind orchestra music from Heinrich Schütz to Jean Sibelius.
The vocal ensemble, Torsten Groschup - baritone, Sofia Schäfer - violin, Christine Burklin - viola da gamba, brass band and flute ensemble will perform at the concert. Agnes Goerke, cantor of the German congregation, conducts.
