In August, when the nights get darker, it's time to light the floating lanterns. On Hiroshima Day, the 6th of August, the memory of the victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki will be respected. By this event, the world of the senselessness of nuclear weapons and the importance of working for peace will be reminded.
The event begins at 21.00 with speeches by cosmologist and author Kari Enqvist and priest Raija Korhonen. Music by Emma Salokoski and Johanna Juhola.
