Matthew Halls, the new Chief Conductor of the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, was raised on early music and conducts the FRSO in a colourfully-collated Baroque programme. This will include a suite from Rameau’s opera Pigmalion, Handel’s Apollo and Daphne, and George Muffat’s Armonico Tributo lending itself to performance by all sorts of ensembles.
