Stripes, stripes, stripes! -workshop for all ages

The guided workshop draws its inspiration from the Antti + Vuokko Nurmesniemi exhibition. In the workshop, the technique is sketching and various material experiments, which are tackled by researching, wondering and experimenting together. The workshop is aimed especially at children and young people. The workshop is guided in Finnish and English.

Discussions about the Design Couple Nurmesniemi: Vuokko Nurmesniemi

The programme of the Design Evenings this spring includes a series of three discussions in which Antti and Vuokko Nurmesniemi’s work and influence in the field of Finnish design will be explored with Program Director of Helsinki Design Weekly Anni Korkman and various guests. Antti Nurmesniemi was an influential designer and a bellwether in the field of design. Vuokko Nurmesniemi revolutionized the Finnish textile and fashion industry.

The first discussion's theme is Vuokko Nurmesniemi. The guests are Kati Borg-Penttilä, who worked with Vuokko Oy for a long time, and journalist and writer Jutta Ylä-Mononen. You do not need to register for the event in advance. The event has places for 70 people. The discussion is in Finnish.
