Hurja Halla is a Joensuu-based contemporary folk music duo whose broad-minded music draws from nature and Nordic mythology.

The combined sound of folk wind instruments, the cello, and the human voice has a power to transport audiences deep into northern forests. The highly unique duo writes their own pieces, with moods ranging from wistful reflections to intense, trance-like beats.

The duo released their acclaimed debut album Riitti in January 2022, followed by frequent radio play all over Europe and international attention.
