J. S. Bach: St Matthew Passion

Suomen Laulu choir and the Finnish Baroque Orchestra perform J.S. Bach's St Matthew Passion on Maundy Thursday. Established in 1900, the choir has performed the passion since 1921. The centenary performance planned for the year 2021 had to be postponed due to the COVID pandemic.

The conductor is Martina Batič from Slovenia. The soloists: Kristian Lindroos (Jesus, baritone); Niall Chorell (evangelist, tenor); Johanna Isokoski (soprano); Iris Oja (alto), Eero Lasorla (tenor), and Visa Kohva (bass).
