Kasvu – Etno-Espa

Etno-Espa is an annual city festival that focuses on modern folk music.

Inspired by nature’s diversity, Kasvu (”Growth”) is a highly original contemporary folk music ensemble whose members are well known from many of our top contemporary folk ensembles.

Kasvu’s music invites us to pause and think about the most important topic of our time, to allow time for thoughts, change and growth related to the state of our environment. It creates space for boreal wetlands, primeval forests and urban green spaces, and for the vital diversity of species surrounding us. Not forgetting the agony of choice that the insignificant human must face.

Etno-Espa is an annual city festival that focuses on modern folk music. The festival presents what Finnish folk music and folk music made in Finland can be today. The festival takes place in Helsinki, on Espa outdoor stage from 7th to 17th of August 2023.
