Kodo One Earth Tour 2022: Tsuzumi – Savoy WORLD

The drum spectacle Kodo’s world tour Tsuzumi in Savoy in March!

In Savoy, Kodo will put on a show in which a fifteen artists strong taiko drum group is combined with traditional dance and singing to create a powerful visual and musical spectacle.

Kodo’s story began in 1981 on the island of Sado where different kinds of cultural influences brought by merchant ships have been merging since the 1600s. The group is part of the larger Kodo Cultural Foundation
organisation which is dedicated to preserving, researching, teaching and performing Japanese art tradition.

Kodo One Earth Tour 2022: The Tsuzumi tour celebrates the 40-year-long story of Kodo. The concert includes iconic pieces of music and rhythms that Kodo has refined for decades. Together with compositions created in the last few years, this theatre experience will leave the audience with a vivid impression of Japan and the island of Sado. Kodo’s previous visit to Savoy in March 2018 was sold out.
The show will be filled with drumming that you can feel in your heart. There will only be four shows during the period of 16–18 March 2022.

Duration is about 1.5 h, no interval.

The age limit for the seats in the stalls is 18 years. The balcony is open for people of all ages.
