Ksenia Voy Kheninen & Zherbin: Plants

Sound art exhibition by Ksenia Voy Kheninen & Zherbin

Sound art exhibition by Ksenia Voy Kheninen & Zherbin

Gallery space turned into an artificial sounding garden. AI art without the AI.
Clay, sound waves, and found objects grown into interactive electronic plants.

A series of pottery objects – plants - with sound devices and found materials integrated in them.

Sculptures as immortal artificial objects that are reminiscent of the organic world. They are commemorating the time when technology is relentlessly trying to replicate the mortals.

The sound reacts to light through sensors, which means that the audience can interact with the sculptures - making them musical instruments.

Ksenia Voy Kheninen and Zherbin are an artistic duo. Plants is their first collaborative public exhibition to reinvent meanings of things by handling matters utilizing the benefits of their outsider status and lack of structural involvement in art scenes.

Zherbin is a noise artist, musician, builder of electronic and acoustic instruments, and a figure in the margins of culture.

Ksenia is an artist driven by interest in exploring people via random found objects and materials by transforming them into artefacts of visual and sensual value.
