Come and enjoy a unique installation performance!

Jälki is an installation and performance combining contemporary dance, choreography and sound, costume and spatial art practices. The artist working group will work process-oriented and site-sensitive in the Stoa exhibition space through February, shaping the installation and performance in interaction with the surroundings. The values and framework behind the work are sustainability, diversity and economy.

Jälki is based on the 2019–2021 Emitting Things project’s performance materials that the working group rethinks and sets in new relationships. The installation also offers an opportunity to experience the rinnakkaisuus_amongness audio performance published in June 2021.

The installation will be displayed in the gallery during gallery opening hours. The performances will take place in the exhibition space in the middle of the installation in the last week of February.

In January, the artists will direct a ‘Can you hear that?’ sound art workshop for young people to discover, strengthen, and highlight the sound cultures inherent to the participants.
