Disconnection is a contemporary circus performance, which deals with creating connections between people.

Disconnection is a contemporary circus performance, which deals with creating connections between people.

The work uses a pantomime horse as a metaphor for the relationship, or better, the break of the bond. The acrobatic duet of the horse's head (Saana Leppänen) and the butt (Armas Lintusaari) shows plenty of functioning, yet surprising, methods for making the connection. The connection becomes unstable as the horse's head dreams about cowboy life, whereas the horse's butt prefers to walk on the catwalk.

Meanwhile, the horse's trainer (Noomi Forslund) envies the connection between the head and the butt so much that she decides to cut herself in half. The horse's halves and their instructor create a reality full of absurd humour that plays with horse numbers of traditional circus.

The performance shows acrobatics, Cyr-wheel, hair suspension, aerial acrobatics, mask theatre and contemporary dance.
