Music in the parks
Some of the Helsinki Festival's musical programme can be experienced as free concerts all over Helsinki.
This year, the Helsinki Festival motto “art belongs to everyone” gets a literal interpretation: some of the event’s musical programme can be experienced as free concerts all over Helsinki.
This first concert takes place on the Night of the Arts, with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra bringing the festivities to people in the parks. You can enjoy the music of Jonna Tervomaa in Kaivopuisto while she performs at Huvila. In Tervasaari, you can listen to the sacred music performed by the vocal music ensemble The Tallis Scholars at Temppeliaukio Church.
The listener has the option of enjoying the concert in Kaivopuisto, Lapinlahti or Sinebrychoff park. They can also choose to rest and listen, to dance and hum or to invite their friends to bring a blanket and take in world-class music.
