Polenta’s three violinists and guitarist perform original tunes and traditional pelimanni music with full steam and all their heart.

Released in autumn 2021, the ensemble’s debut album titled Kaustinen Turbo is a collection of traditional Kaustinen tunes which have been given a distinct Polenta makeover. The group’s new program showcases the unique Polenta sound through original compositions by the members, whilst not forgetting the core of the pelimanni tradition.

Known as an agile live band, Polenta’s gigs emanate an easy-going feel and the joy of playing.
