Frigyes Hidas composed the Requiem for the 40th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian uprising. The composer has dedicated the work to the victims of all wars, throughout human history. The composition of the work is exceptional, as it is written for wind orchestra, choir and soloists.

The soloists of the Requiem are soprano Margit Tuokko, alto Tuula Paavola, tenor Tommi Niskala and baritone Tuomas Lehtinen.

Choirs Hanna Remes. The concert will be conducted by József Csikota, conductor who is deeply acquainted with Hidas' music.
