Rowing and Hiking for Baltic Herring 2023

The Rotarians is arranging The Baltic Herring Row (Silakkasoutu) on the opening day of the Herring Market for the benefit of clean local waters of the Baltic Sea. The event will be rowed by church boats from Töölönlahti Bay to Market Square.

This year, alongside the rowing event, there will be an alternative activity called the Herring Hike, which starts from Finlandia Hall, goes along the shores of central Helsinki for 5 km to the Market Square.
