Strings and Things Guitar Festival 2023

The Strings and Things Music Festival  will take place in Helsinki, which has long been known for its musical atmosphere and cultural events.

Even if you are not a jazz enthusiast, you will be able to immerse yourself in the musical atmosphere of this concert, as the performers manage to create interesting, melodic compositions elegantly complemented by electronic sounds that will not leave the audience indifferent.

In the festival, you will have an opportunity to enjoy performances by professional musicians, as well as discover young and promising talents. Special attention will be given to music created using string instruments, which will give the festival a unique character.

Teemu Viinikainen and Zenev Band are performing at Culture Factory Korjaamo.

Teemu Viinikainen is the outstanding guitarist, whose mastery is considered one of the most impressive on the contemporary jazz scene in Europe. Many music critics and experts recognize him as one of the world's best jazz guitarists, including the globally renowned British music critic Stuart Nicholson, who included Teemu in the list of the top 20 jazz guitarists in the world. His latest solo album, "Songs of Silence," released in November 2022, demonstrates a mix of jazz with elements of electronic music. 

Zenev Band is a musical collective that attracts listeners with its unique musical style, combining live acoustic instruments, analog synthesizers, and computers in an unusual way. The group plays in the World Music style, where the main melodic ideas develop through a dialogue between acoustic guitar and violin. This acoustic dialogue is complemented by captivating electronic rhythms, giving the collective's compositions a modern sound with original character. The music for the collective is created by guitarist and composer Artem Zenev.
