Sublime and majestic, these elaborate and masterful musical settings of biblical text, by such composers as Herbert Howells, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Stanford, and S. S. Wesley, are rarely heard in Finland. These pieces offer an opportunity for reflection and spiritual nourishment as the Autumn light fades.
'Threshold of Silence' marks the launch of an ongoing series of concerts at St Nicholas which seek to explore and share the vast riches of musical art that exist in the Anglican choral tradition.
