Unelmia ja toiveita (Hopes and Dreams) – Annantalo summer artist: Jukka Kääriäinen

Guitarist, composer, musician and educator Jukka Kääriäinen has been chosen as the Annantalo summer artist. Over the summer, Jukka will be creating a soundscape based on Annantalo visitors’ hopes and dreams.

“With this work, I want to try and create a space in which we’ll get to dream about a better future, if only for a while. My aim is to create a soundscape. It will feature the hopes and dreams of the children and adults that visit Annantalo. I will be collecting these hopes from everyone who wants to share them. They can be expressed freely, in any form, like as a voice recording of speech or singing, as a drawing or written words on paper,” says Jukka Kääriäinen.

Jukka Kääriäinen will be working at Annantalo from the beginning of June to mid-August. You can find Jukka’s atelier on the second floor, and you’ll get to work with him on weekdays during the summer holiday season.
