Viapori Jazz - Vesku: The Jazz Fella

The late singer-actor, Finnish slapstick champion of falling (in battle!), soccer player, boxer and pool table shark was not only a flautist, but above all a jazz cat to the bone: he had equally strong views on his favorite music and bands like his movie character Uuno had about the amount of cream and sugar in his coffee. This year, the August Viapori Jazz week opens with a concert molded around Vesku's precious jazz tunes, sculpted by two of his favorite musicians, Lenni-Kalle Taipale and Kalle Torniainen with their ensemble.
