12 – two versions of beauty is a new dance piece by choreographer Liisa Risu for four dancers and classic guitar.

The performance consists of dance etudes – trios, solos, duets and quartets – built around simple movement themes. Each dance begins with a minimalist introduction and grows gradually into a delicate spatial opulence.

The piece has two sections, the first of which is danced in silence, with only the metronome measuring time in the background. The second part is identical in terms of dance, but now includes a poignantly emotional acoustic guitar score composed and played by Iiro Ollila. How will your experience change?
