Aition feat. Saad Kaya
Aition is the artist name of producer and musician Lasse Lindgren, under which Lindgren has been releasing music he has composed since 2020.
The key element of Aition’s music is using the themes and instruments of ancient times, the Middle Ages and the Middle East in ambient-based music production.
In summer 2024, Lindgren started cooperation with Moroccan-born and now Espoo-based Saad Kaya, who presents the Finnish audience with the ‘ancestor of bass’ – a guembri, a key instrument in Moroccan Gnawa music. Gnawa music is a style of music drawing from the rhythm music performed in the religious rituals of slaves brought south to the Sahara desert. It dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries.
In February 2025, Aition released a single, Tapiola Gnawa, where field recordings done at the Tapiola metro station provide a rhythmic base for Gnawa music.

Anna Murtola – La Tierra Blanca
The La Tierra Blanca project of the world’s northernmost flamenco singer, Anna Murtola, is world-class flamenco music from northern Finland.
A stage work combining impressive Finnish spoken word, sound art and flamenco music, whose repertoire comes from Murtola’s album of the same name. Among other things, the album was nominated for World Music Album of the year by German record critics in 2023.
La Tierra Blanca (The White Land) is a union between the Spanish flamenco tradition and the singer’s own northern roots. Originally from Oulu, Murtola’s lyrics and themes draw from the northern natural and mental landscape, personal experiences and stories of the past – even from Finnish folklore.
Collages of natural sounds and synthetic soundscapes meet the sensitivity and disarming power of the human voice. Touching stories and compositions meet with the expressive tradition of flamenco and the uncompromising musical expertise of a group of top Nordic flamenco musicians.
