Astrid Swan will celebrate her new music with a concert at Kanneltalo.

It has been 20 years since the release of musician Astrid Swan’s first solo album Poverina. In these two decades, she has produced seven albums, a memoir and a novel, and a host of other writings and artistic works.

Her latest album, D/other (Soliti), was released in October 2021, and her previous solo album, From the Bed and Beyond (Soliti), received the Teosto Prize in 2018. The album was also nominated for the Nordic Music Prize. During her career, Swan has performed solo and with her band in Finland, Europe and the United States.

In spring 2019, Swan published her literary autobiography Viimeinen kirjani: kirjoituksia elämästä (My Last Book: Writings on Life, Nemo) and a Swan/Koistinen EP with musician Stina Koistinen. In 2024, Swan published her first novel, Noitarakastaja (Witch Lover, S&S Kustannus).

The concert at Cultural Centre Kanneltalo will feature new music by Astrid Swan, due to be released in early 2026.
