Black Devils feat with two legendary Hurriganes guitarists. Ile Kallio & Janne Louhivuori will be seen at a record release gig at the Savoy Theatre in Helsinki on Friday 11 April. A torch-bearer of primordial rock’n’roll music, the band will celebrate their 30-year career next year, releasing their new album Hooked on 21 March.

“A new album, a new set list and a great setting for a record release gig! The Savoy Theatre is one of the finest venues in Helsinki, and it is a great honour for us, together with Ile and Janne, to be able to play not only the greatest hits of Ganes, but also the songs of the new album for the audience. We will also celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Black Devils at the same time! With the new album, the band is more energetic than ever. Rock’n Roll!”, says drummer-singer JP Kakkola.

Black Devils’ previous album Get Ready!, which reached number one on the physical album charts, was praised by both fans and critics. The Hooked album, which will be released around spring, is produced by Janne Louhivuori and published by Emsalö Music. In addition to Black Devils, Ile Kallio and Janne Louhivuori, the team also includes renowned Hurriganes producer Richard Stanley. The pre-sale of the album will start on Friday 13 December. In addition to the new album, Ile Kallio will publish the book “Crazy Days 1975–1979” about Hurriganes in March. In addition to J-P Kakkola, bassist Tero Salminen and guitarist Matti Kähkönen belong to the basic line-up of Black Devils, which pays tribute to the roots of the original Hurriganes.
