Christmas at the Suomenlinna Centre
Dec 12, 2025 – Jan 11, 2026
Suomenlinna C74, 00190 Helsinki
Dressed up for Christmas, Suomenlinna Centre offers a taste of the history of the fortress and a treat in the Café Augustin. A Christmas tree decorates the lobby, where you will find a Christmas forest scene. You can get into the Christmas spirit in the café with hot mulled wine and Christmas delicacies.
The Suomenlinna Museum, where you can learn about the history and present of the fortress, also has a Christmas atmosphere. Lighthouse Keeper Svante has hidden twinkling specks of light, small tasks, and guiding clues throughout the museum exhibition.
During their search, they learn a thing or two about the 270-year-old sea fortress and the lives of its inhabitants. The museum’s receptionist will give you tips on where to start looking for the twinkling specks of light, and you can walk the route for a museum entrance fee.
Refreshments and sweet and savoury snacks can be bought at the Café Augustin. The museum shop sells souvenirs and gifts for your Santa’s trunk.
