The grand opening of the cycling week, organized by Helsingin seudun pyöräilijät ry and it’s partners, will be held on Kansalaistori Square next to the Central Library Oodi, on Saturday 3 May from 12.00-17.00.

event is full of entertainment and fun activities for all. Come and test ride a special bikes by the Paralympic committee. During the event, you can also try out the bikes by Apuväline Avux, a company specializing in special bikes. Bike models available also for children and young people. You can also test ride Helkama’s three-wheeled electric bike. During the event, you can also test ride the precycled bicycles by Vapaus. Have your bicycle inspected for free by Helsingin Pyörähuolto Oy and decorate it for the parade. The parade will depart at 14.00 and will return back to the same place after approximately an hour.

Of course, there will also be music as Of course, there will also be music as Trash Heroes DJs provide tunes between 12.00–15.00. You can warm-up before the parade in the guided Zumba class. Naturally, you can also meet representatives of Helsinki Region Cyclists. The Kansalaistori Square event will provide tips and information about both cycling and traffic rules.
