In the Fjällräven Day Hike Helsinki event, you will walk approx. 7 km in the Paloheinä outdoor recreation area and visit checkpoints along the route.

At the checkpoints, experts will share their tips concerning hiking, trekking and equipment. With their help, you will learn, among other things, how to pack a backpack, which camping stove is right for you and how to properly care for your shoes and trekking clothes. You will also hear about first aid and route planning. 

The presentations at the checkpoints will be held primarily in Finnish, but feel free to let the presenter know if you can’t understand Finnish and ask questions in English.

After experiencing this event, you will be even more prepared for your first overnight hike or next camping trip! The event is suitable for both beginners and hikers with some hiking experience.
