Samuel Eriksson, winner of the 2025 Tampere Piano Competition, will perform a concert of classical piano gems and Finnish classics.

The audience will be treated to music by composers such as Franz Liszt, Jean Sibelius and Selim Palmgren.
Samuel Eriksson (b. 2001) is a Finnish pianist and clarinetist. He started piano studies at the Turku Conservatorium under Niklas Pokki. He currently studies at Sibelius Academy under Antti Hot and Kirill Kozlovski.

He has performed as an orchestral soloist both abroad and in Finland with ensembles such as the Helsinginkatu Philharmonic Orchestra, the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra and the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra. Eriksson has won prizes at events such as the Leevi Madetoja Piano Competition and the Steinway Piano Festival.

In 2025, Eriksson won first prize in the Tampere Piano Competition. He has attended masterclasses with world-class pianists such as Richard Goode, Nikolai Luganski, Robert Levin, Claudio Martinez-Mehner and Marc-André Hamelin. He is active as both a chamber musician and a lied pianist.

He also won the national wind instrument competition in Huittinen as a clarinetist in 2017.
