The Åland-based band Gycklarnas Afton is back on stage and has released new music!

Hailed back in the day as the best band in Swedish-speaking Finland, they toured extensively in both Sweden and Finland. Now, after a 38-year hiatus, the band has recorded a new album that has been played extensively on channels such as Radio Vega.

Gycklarnas Afton are now releasing a new album, Hamn i natten, which is their first album of new music in 38 years.

Hamn i natten contains six songs. Gycklarna is still an explosion of melodies and energy – but now their sound also has a more sensitive side to it. Thematically, the lyrics of the album revolve around the sea: the novella-like Acke depicts the sea as a symbol of longing and escape, while Segelskeppens tid focuses on crushed hopes in the early 20th century and the many loved ones lost to the sea.
