Hungarian Days: Haapavesi Folk Music Festival X Liszt Institute
As part of Hungarian Days events, a unique evening full of music and dance will be held, where Finnish and Hungarian folk music and dance will come together!
Performers:
Teija Niku – accordion & Juha Kujanpää – piano
Two talented musicians create the atmosphere with live music.
Dance lessons:
Finnish folk dances will be taught by folk dance teacher Hanna Poikela, accompanied by live music.
Hungarian folk dances will be taught by István Litkey, a Hungarian folk dance teacher. No previous dance experience is necessary!
During the evening there will be an introduction to the Haapavesi Folk Music Festival, which will be held this year on June 26–28, 2025. Hungary will be represented at the festival by the energetic and distinctive Koszika ensemble.
Raffle:
Festival tickets for the Haapavesi Folk Music Festival will be raffled off at the event!
