A photographic installation by Mikko Kelloniemi & Vilma Leino
The first joint exhibition by Mikko Kelloniemi and Vilma Leino, Humankind(of), is an exploration of identity, the structures of humanity, and the artificiality of our living environment.
The exhibition is a photographic installation that examines the fleeting nature of identity and the individual’s emotional relationship with their surroundings.
The works of both artists focus on self-portraiture in their own distinctive way, approaching the individual-centered experience from their personal standpoint. Their work reflects the emotional layers of subjective experience in dialogue with the temporal layers of the surrounding reality.
The exhibition brings together separate individual experiences in which artificiality and digitality intersect with the fragility of being human, where coldness contrasts with warmth.
