Klaneettitie 5, 00420 Helsinki

Global Club Nights is a club series where people who work with and love music come together to celebrate music.

The free club nights start early, so children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. In addition to exciting music, the club also offers other fun activities suitable for children. Let’s start the weekend together!

Kanneltalo will host the club on two evenings during the autumn of 2026. The first club night on 2 October features Humphrey Mubba and Trio Mandeng. The second club night will take place on 20 November during Children’s Rights Week.

Humphrey Mubba is a Tanzanian jazz bassist, composer, and educator based in Finland. Born to parents from Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro region and raised in a multicultural family, his music reflects deep African roots combined with global jazz influences. His sound blends Tanzanian and African rhythms with the freedom of jazz improvisation, creating energetic, movement-driven music where dance and music are inseparable.

Influenced by artists such as Richard Bona, Etienne Mbappé, and Hugh Masekela, Mubba has toured internationally and performed at festivals including Sauti za Busara and BC International Jazz Festival. His debut album Time is available on all major platforms.

Trio Mandeng’s sound embodies the origins of blues, jazz, and Latin music. The style represents the ancient Mandé tradition of West Africa, where the intricate melodies of the kora and balafon harmonise with acoustic percussion rhythms.

The members of this Malian-Burkinabé-Guinean-Finnish trio are all internationally renowned virtuosos of the genre. The lyrics are served in several West African languages, at times even spiced with a pinch of Finnish, and the tonal language will be understood by all lovers of acoustic live music, regardless of nationality.

Global Club Nights aims to create a safe, inclusive and creative environment and build bridges between all music lovers and their communities. Global Club Nights has been produced in cooperation with the Sibelius Academy’s Global Music Department and Kanneltalo.
