“Yksi” (One) is the first-year exhibition by photography students from the Institute of Design, where 20 students present their individual bodies of work.

The pieces reflect not only the artists’ personal experiences but also the role of photography as a tool for expression, exploration, and understanding. The exhibition offers a glimpse into the learning process itself, as the images capture experimentation, insights, successes, and the shaping of each student’s practice into a finished whole.
