Electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre is performing next June in a major open-air concert in Helsinki!

Jean-Michel Jarre, who has sold over 80 million albums worldwide, will bring his massive show to a grand outdoor event at the Helsinki Ice Hall.

Jarre introduced the world to different dimensions of electronic music and spectacular laser shows as early as the 1970s, at a time when today’s massive popularity of electronic music was unheard of. He stunned the world with his groundbreaking musical and lighting innovations, laying the foundation for a style that later inspired superstars like David Guetta and Avicii.

A versatile artist, Jarre is also a composer and lyricist, having created music for numerous films. Throughout his career, he has also been an advocate for copyright protection and artists’ rights.

Jarre rose to worldwide fame with his 1976 album Oxygene. Two years later, he held his first massive open-air concert, attracting an estimated audience of one million people at Place de la Concorde in Paris.
