Jutta Himonas & Tanja Nyo: High Cloudy

High Cloudy is a combined exhibition by potter Jutta Himonas and painter Tanja Nyo. 
The dual show of potter Jutta Himonas and visual artist Tanja Nyo have compatible fragments of thoughts. You may find yourself trying to piece together even those that don’t seem to fit.
Exhibition’s common denominator might be high cloudy and that is precisely what makes it relevant and timely. 

Potter Jutta Himonas from Siuntio creates intuitive ceramic stills of the questions and thoughts that are currently on her mind, spiced with music and in dialogue with the material.
The works on show consist of pieces where Jutta has played with the material venting feelings that have risen from fiercely–changing reality, longing for harmony.
 

Visual artist Tanja Nyo lives and works in Porvoo. She graduated as a painter in Helsinki in 2018.
In the series Eternal Cobalt Fever Nyo makes a stylistic exception to her abstract expression. 

At the heart of the paintings are Azulejos tiles, which are found on buildings especially in the Iberian Peninsula, North Africa, and Brazil. The aesthetics of azulejos are timeless, and at the same time their timelessness serves as a link between different eras:
the colonial history of styles, trends, and colours is present.
