“This exhibition features my sculptures and black-and-white graphics from a very long period, meaning my entire adult life.”

“My pictures are not drawn from models, i.e. the landscape or subject does not exist as such. The images come from our inner world and represent archetypal illusions (of dreams). The sculptures are miniatures of possible buildings and other rare structures and shapes that have interested me. Some of them have even been implemented in a large scale.

What all these views and fancies have in common is that they have never been shown together, or at all, in any exhibition. Some of them have been made for art competitions and have been successful in them. Others have been made for other purposes; they owe a debt to theatre, poetry or good storytelling. They contribute to proving that within this world is another possible world, which I am seeking to open up and share with you.

I was hoping to get to present these things in Vuosaari, where I live, and I would now like to thank the people of Vuotalo for this opportunity.”
