Kalevauva.fi is a folk-pop duo formed by Aapo Niininen and Kimmo Numminen, with lyrics directly from the people, gathered from internet forums.

Founded in 2016, Kalevauva.fi has been on a wild ride from the start. Helsingin Sanomat immediately dubbed the duo “perhaps the most talked about band of the summer of 2016”, and the band has since played hundreds of gigs and amassed a huge number of YouTube views.

Kalevauva.fi has also been voted Vuoden Vantaalainen (Vantaa Resident of the Year) and published a poetry book and three full-length albums, the latest of which, Kaupunkilaulut vol. 1 bundled together hilarious stories about Finnish cities. Kalevauva.fi is at its best at live shows, which is evident from enthusiastic audiences all over Finland.
