Mosaiikkitori 2, 00980 Helsinki

Go bird-watching to explore the bird population of Vuosaari.

The walks start in the Vuosaari House lobby and continue to the Porslahti exercise park and Vuosaari Manor areas, finally returning to Vuosaari House.

The walk introduces participants to the surprisingly rich bird population in the middle of Vuosaari. The green areas are home to numerous bird species that have already arrived in their nesting locations in early May. Species to look out for include the great spotted woodpecker, the wood pigeon, thrushes and insectivores such as the willow warbler, the pied flycatcher and the wheatear as well as a number of other small birds.

During the walk, participants can look and listen for birds with a guide from Tringa. You can bring your own binoculars, but it is optional. The terrain is easy to walk. The route is approximately four kilometres long. The walk is suitable for anyone interested in birds and the local environment. You do not need to sign up in advance for the walk.

The duration of the walk will be approximately an hour.

Free entry, no advance registration.
