Tero Kokko’s exhibition shows how the wisdom in the Kalevala is also relevant in modern times.

Nature, especially the forest, is a central element in Kalevala and thus also plays an important role in this exhibition. Kokko believes that the messages of the Kalevala are still worth passing on, and that they can also provide solutions to today’s problems.

Relief printing on swell paper is a significant new technique that offers a completely new way of experiencing and feeling an image. It invites the viewer to touch, sense, perceive and realise the complexity of the image.
