Maritime Helsinki: waterbus to Pihlajasaari
Jun 6 – 8, 2025
Merisatamanranta 10, 00150 Helsinki
Welcome to Pihlajasaari island!
During the Maritime Helsinki weekend on 6–8 June 2025, children under 18 can travel to Pihlajasaari by waterbus for free.
Escape the daily grind and the hustle and bustle of the city just a short boat ride away on Pihlajasaari. In addition to sandy beaches, beautiful coastal rocks and wonderful maritime landscapes, the island also has diverse nature and beautiful old villas, one of which houses a restaurant. A nature path of about two kilometres runs around the island and is marked in the terrain with numbered poles. Information and stories about the history of the island are dotted along the trail.
Pihlajasaari also includes three freely available cooking shelters with potable water and firewood ready for use. A slightly longer escape from everyday life is also possible by camping on the eastern side of Pihlajasaari. The island also has two saunas that can be booked in advance.
JT-Line’s waterbuses operate on a scheduled service from Merisatama and Ruoholahti to Pihlajasaari every day from 17 May to 31 August 2025. Dogs are also welcome on our ferries and on the island, except in the swimming beach and children’s play areas.
