The Embassy of Mexico in Finland cordially invites you to the inauguration of the Day of the Dead Altar at Kluuvi Shopping Centre, in collaboration with Mexican artists based in Finland and the UN Youth of Finland.

This year, the altar is dedicated to the legendary Mexican cartoonist Gabriel Vargas (1915–2010), creator of La Familia Burrón, and the beloved Finnish author Tove Jansson (1914–2001), creator of the Moomins.

The opening event will include:
A presentation by the Embassy about the Mexican Day of the Dead tradition and the altar’s symbolic elements.
Workshops and presentations by Mexican artists living in Finland.

Traditional pan de muerto.

The altar will be on display until November 16.
