Mikko Hassinen Future Food Factory
Jun 13, 2025 | 5:00 pm – 6:15 pm
Mannerheimintie 13a, 00100 Helsinki
Hassinen’s newly formed acoustic four-man group Future Food Factory and its freshly released debut album are much more restrained – or so he wants you to believe.
There may be a few surprises along the way, which is a part of the essence of jazz. With Future Food Factory, Hassinen wants to “explore musical ideas from both sides of the axis: composed and fully improvised as well as acoustic and electronic”.
In the post-production phase, many songs have received layers that differ from traditional quartet jazz. The recorded material has been modified and processed. The album that started acoustically turns into something else along the way.
Mikko Hassinen, drums, electronics
Max Zenger, saxophone, clarinet
Mikko Antila, vibraphone
Antti Ahoniemi, bass
