MimoArt Company: BODY NOTES

Jan 17, 2026 | 2:00 pm

Stoa

Turunlinnantie 1, 00900 Helsinki

International award-winning work praised by audiences and art critics – coming back to Stoa!

Body Notes is an incredibly fine combination of dance, physical theatre, butoh, slapstick comedy, new clownery, live music and visual soul food. Together with the magnificent light-, set- and sound design it builds a beautiful and artistically ambitious multi-level experience, which challenges the seriousness of art dance in a fresh, novel way.

“Body Notes is an extremely visual, improvisational journey to all possible stage expression forms. It feels deep in the body and soul, shakes, stretches, amuses and moves you.” Helsingin Sanomat

“How to put to words a theatrical experience that shakes you to the core? Is it even possible? MimoArt Company’s Body Notes is one of those experiences.” Nur Magazine

Viewer experiences:

“This is a shockingly beautiful piece of work. On so many levels. I cried and laughed, froze and melted, was surprised time and time again and was enchanted to the point of overwhelmed myself.”

“Impressive show. Visually it was like being in a contemporary art gallery.”

“Absolutely amazing, exactly what was promised in the introduction and more! This will be smiling in my soul landscape for a long time. I highly recommend!”
