The fun and touching film stars Oscar-winning Maggie Smith in her final role as well as Kathy Bates, Laura Linney and Stephen Rea.

Lily and Eileen, who have been serving men their whole lives, get the opportunity to travel from the tight circles of 1960s Ireland to Lourdes, a famous French pilgrimage site, where supposedly healing spring water flows from the Virgin Mary herself. A young mother, Dolly, with her young, silent son, and Chrissie, who has been away for years, join them for the trip. Everyone expects miracles from the journey only to discover that their friendship is already full of miracles.
